Argos 7 ships with a variety of pre-defined reports. Many customers find the included reports to be all they need. Others prefer to Sepialine Professional Services create custom reports, or use Crystal Reports to modify reports themselves.

Here is the list of reports that are currently included with Argos Manager:

The following definitions will help you determine which reports may be best for your uses.

External vs Internal

Many customers use Argos reports as invoices or to provide billing backup to their clients. For this reason, we make a distinction between Internal and External reports. External reports are suitable to use as invoices or billing backup; Internal reports are not. Internal reports include both a charge and a cost, External reports only show the charge.

We recommend selecting the "Include Page Breaks" option in the filter pane for External Reports, so activity for each project is on its own page.

When multiple pages of a report are available, the navigation arrows above the report can be used to scroll through pages:

Detail vs Summary

Detail reports show every single record - who did it, the filename, device, date/time and more. Summary reports group like-minded records together. For example,  a Job Summary report will sort by Billing Code, Subcode, then show records summarized by media type.  A similar Detail report would group the records in the same way, but show each record individually.

Job Reports

Job Reports order by Billing code (Project, Client, etc) and are useful in Interactive Billing environments, such as law offices, architectural firms, advertising agencies, etc.

Office Reports

Office reports use the Device or User Office to sort records, and do not show Billing Codes. 

User Reports

User Reports sort by user group and username, and do not show Billing Codes.
