Database

One installation, typically in main office

Includes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express at no charge. Customer can supply Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or higher

Communication Service

At least one per location. Additional services can be installation. No limit to number of installations.

Providers desktop-to-database communication, offline capability, remote office aggregation

Argos Agent Service

One per desktop where interactive "popup" billing is desired, or where local Windows print tracking is required. One per print server where Windows print tracking is desired.

Uses Communication Service for database connectivity. Responsible for print tracking on servers and desktops, and also responsible for displaying "popup" Argos Desktop Client .

Integration Server

At least one, typically on database server. Additional installations in branch offices if integration is required in those locations.

Responsible for hosting most integration capabilities

Maintenance Service

One installation, typically alongside database.

Automatically downloads and installs license keys from Argos license server. Performs automated database backups.

Manager

At least one installation; no limit. Typically given to finance and I.T. staff.

Software used to configure Argos, and to retrieve and report data.

OnBoard for Konica Minolta service

At least one installation (installs by default). Additional installations in branch offices if integration is required in those locations.

Used for Konica Minolta OnBoard integration

Express Terminal Gateway Service

At least one installation (installs by default). Additional installations in branch offices if integration is required in those locations.

Used to Argos Keypad communication
