Axium Ajera is a SQL-based accounting package. The following describes a basic import of active project and phase numbers/names from an Ajera database.

Set up Connection to Ajera

  1. Open Argos Manager and click "Projects"
  2. Click the "Gear" icon below the Projects tier and select "Import..."
  3. Select "Imports billing codes from a variety of sources" and click "Configure..."
  4. Click the ellipsis (...) next to "Connection String" to open the Data Link Properties dialog
  5. Select "Microsoft Ole DB Provider for SQL Server" from the "Provider"tab and click "Next"
  6. Enter name of Ajera database server, SQL username and password, and Ajera database
  7. Click "Test Connection" to confirm settings
  8. Click "OK"

Import Projects

  1. Select "Project" tab and click "Use SQL statement" radio button
  2. Click "Edit SQL" button
  3. Enter the following query (may vary based on your specific needs)

    SELECT prjID,prjDescription FROM AxProject
    WHERE prjID <> ''
    AND prjParent IS NULL
    AND prjStatus = 1

     
  4. Click "OK"
  5. Select prjID from "Number" dropdown
  6. Select prjDescription from "Name" dropdown
  7. Leave other options unchecked
  8. Click "Preview" to verify data is correct

Import Phases

  1. Select "Phase" tab and click "Use SQL statement" radio button
  2. Click "Edit SQL" button
  3. Enter the following query (may vary based on your specific needs)

    SELECT b.prjID AS ParentProject, a.prjPhaseLevel1 AS PhaseNumber,a. prjDescription AS PhaseName from AxProject a
    INNER JOIN
        (SELECT prjKey,prjID FROM AxProject
        WHERE prjID <> ''
        AND prjParent IS NULL
        AND prjStatus = 1
        ) b
    ON a.prjParent = b.prjKey
    WHERE a.prjID <> '' AND a.prjPhaseLevel1 <> ''
    AND a.prjStatus = 1
    AND a.PrjDescription <> 'No Phase'

     
  4. Click "OK"

  5. Select PhaseNumber from "Number" dropdown
  6. Select PhaseName from "Name" dropdown
  7. Select ParentProject from "Project Number" dropdown
  8. Leave other options unchecked
  9. Click "Preview" to verify data is correct

 

Older versions of Axium software used a proprietary database format. 32-bit ODBC drivers are available for this older version, but 64-bit drivers are not. Contact Sepialine Support for assistance with setting up legacy Axium project imports.
